Job summary

Coppice Performing Arts School in Wolverhampton is seeking an IT Technician to join the Central IT team, ensuring smooth running of IT networks and systems and providing proactive support to staff and students.

The role involves installing hardware, performing repairs, deploying software via MDT/WDS and Intune/MEM, supporting local schools, maintaining asset inventories, and working on a rota with other schools.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar IT environment.
• Ability to effectively support staff and students.
• Confident communicator and team member.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth running of the trust's IT networks & systems.
• Provide proactive, accessible support to all users.
• Support all users across academies via central helpdesk.
• Provide support to local schools on a rota basis.
• Install and test new hardware and equipment.
• Perform device repairs and upgrades.
• Identify and rectify hardware or software faults.
• Install and test software via MDT/WDS, PDQ Deploy & Intune/MEM.
• Perform network cable installation and connectivity as required.
• Maintain up‑to‑date ICT equipment and license inventory.
