Job summary

Meadow High School is seeking an IT Technician to provide key ICT support across two sites, ensuring staff and students can access reliable systems and services. The role supports the Network Manager and will involve maintaining hardware, software, and networks in a busy educational environment.

The successful candidate will have good numeracy and literacy, a recognised IT qualification (CompTIA A+/N+ or similar), and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills (Essential).
• A recognised IT qualification (CompTIA A+, N+, or similar) (Desirable).
• Experience in IT support or a similar technical role (Desirable).
• Knowledge of Windows, Chromebooks, iPads and common educational software (Essential).
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Admin, Google Workspace Admin, or Apple School Manager (Desirable).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills (Essential).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills (Essential).
• Commitment to safeguarding and equality (Essential).
• Commitment to the security and wellbeing of the school (Essential).
• Possess a full driving license and have use of a vehicle for business purposes (Essential).
• Willing to work evenings and weekends if required (Essential).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical IT support to staff and students across two school sites.
• Maintain, develop and deliver reliable ICT services and networks.
• Assist the IT Network Manager in daily ICT operations.
• Support Windows devices, Chromebooks and educational software.
• Work flexibly across sites including after hours when needed.
