Job summary

Coppice Performing Arts School in Wolverhampton is seeking an IT Technician to join the central IT team. This full-time role (37 hours per week) offers a salary of £25,185–£28,142 depending on experience and Pay Award Pending.

The successful candidate will maintain IT networks and systems, provide proactive user support, install hardware/software, manage inventories, and support local schools on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and dedicated to supporting staff and students
• Able to work well in a team and build positive relationships
• Confident communicator and team member
• Able to work well under pressure
• Experience in a similar IT environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth running of the trust’s IT networks & systems
• Provide outstanding, proactive and accessible user support
• Support all users across the trust’s academies via the central helpdesk
• Provide support to local schools on a rota basis
• Install and test new hardware and equipment
• Perform device repairs and upgrades
• Identify and rectify hardware or software faults
• Install and test new software and deployments via MDT/WDS, PDQ Deploy & Intune/MEM
• Perform network cable installation and connectivity to standards
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of ICT equipment, software licenses and consumables
