Supply Heroes are delighted to be partnering with a welcoming secondary school in Birmingham to recruit an enthusiastic IT Technician for an immediate start. This full-time role is for the Autumn Term initially, with the opportunity to become a long-term position for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Previous IT support or IT Technician experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
Experience supporting networks and hardware infrastructure.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Providing first-line and second-line IT support to staff and students.
Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
Setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting desktops, laptops and other devices.
Supporting classroom technology including interactive displays and audiovisual equipment.
Managing user accounts, passwords and permissions.
Assisting with network maintenance and system updates.
Installing and configuring software applications.
Maintaining asset registers and IT equipment inventories.
Supporting the implementation of new technologies across the school.
