Job summary

Aspris Children's Services seeks a dedicated IT technician to provide day-to-day technical support across our schools in Chorley, Leyland and Preston. You will help staff and pupils access reliable technology, troubleshoot hardware, manage software updates and secure networks to enhance teaching and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or technician role, preferably in an educational setting.
• Good knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Willing to undergo safeguarding screening and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to staff and pupils.
• Respond to central help desk requests promptly and effectively.
• Maintain and troubleshoot hardware including PCs, laptops, tablets, interactive whiteboards, printers and mobile devices.
• Support software installation, updates and user access across educational programs.
• Ensure network Internet and Wi‑Fi systems are secure and perform IT inventories and asset tracking.
• Support use of technology to aid learning and communication for pupils with autism and complex needs.
