Job summary

Wayman Education is working with a Secondary School in Brighton to recruit an enthusiastic IT Technician who can support staff and pupils and maintain the school's IT infrastructure.

The role focuses on day-to-day technical support, setting up classroom devices, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring secure and reliable technology across the school. This is a full-time permanent position based in Brighton.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in IT support or similar role.
• Good knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office and common IT hardware.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to explain issues clearly to users.
• Patient, reliable and proactive with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
• Experience in a school environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain computers, laptops, printers, projectors and other classroom technology.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to staff and pupils and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Assist with maintaining the school's network, user accounts and software systems; support password resets and software installation.
• Maintain accurate records of IT equipment and assist with stock management.
• Support setup of classrooms and offices and provide basic guidance on technology use; follow IT security and data protection procedures.
