Job summary

Watergrove Trust is seeking an Academy IT Lead to oversee IT support for one academy and assist with shared responsibilities across primary schools. The role covers troubleshooting, desktop and hardware support, software and infrastructure maintenance, and delivering larger IT projects.

The post is based mainly at a trust secondary school, requires a driving licence and own vehicle, and offers funded apprenticeships and career development opportunities within 2 years.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support
• Desktop and hardware maintenance experience
• Ability to install and configure software and hardware
• Commitment to data security and safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Provide effective support, installation, configuration and maintenance of software, hardware and infrastructure
• Lead IT support provision for one academy
• Provide day-to-day troubleshooting and desktop and hardware support
• Ensure data security
• Share joint responsibility for supporting one or more primary schools
• Deliver larger IT projects
• Coach users and encourage them to try new technologies and improve working routines through IT
