Job summary

Greenshaw Learning Trust is seeking an Assistant HR Partner to provide operational HR support in schools during absences and peak periods. You will advise on employment law, handle complex casework, and assist regional partners with HR projects to ensure consistent, high-quality service across the South East region.

You will work across diverse school environments, supporting recruitment, onboarding, safeguarding checks, payroll and HR systems while maintaining strict confidentiality and

Qualifications

• Experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor with strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience across recruitment lifecycle, Single Central Records, payroll and investigations.
• Ability to provide accurate, compliant HR advice across multiple schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational HR support to schools, including recruitment, onboarding, safeguarding checks, payroll and pensions.
• Act as Investigating Officer for disciplinary, grievance and bullying cases; support employee relations hearings.
• Conduct termly HR assurance checks across schools to identify compliance risks.
• Support School HR Leads with employment law, policies and terms & conditions.
• Assist Regional HR Partners with due diligence and TUPE processes across the Trust.
