Job summary

Bluebird Care Cheltenham, Gloucester & Tewkesbury is seeking a caring Care Assistant for a 9:00am–2:30pm School Hours shift. You will visit clients in the local area providing personal care, light household tasks and support with meals. A full UK driving licence and a calm, compassionate approach are essential.

Great communication, reliability and the ability to follow care plans will help you succeed. Full induction and ongoing training are provided. DBS checks and references apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.

• Location: Cheltenham, Gloucester & Tewkesbury
• Contract type: Care Delivery
• Salary details: £12.84 - £12.84 per hour

We are seeking a caring individual to join our 9.00am-2.30pm team. This sought-after position was designed for those who can offer a lot to care, but traditional hours such as early mornings, evenings and weekend work would not be best suited to their family life.

Our '9 - 2.30' rounds mainly support our customers who do not require full-time care, but rather those who might need one or two visits a week to help with personal care, household chores, or their weekly food shop. The role is varied, and you will visit a range of people who need just a little support to remain independent. A willingness to travel across our area to provide care is essential.
