Job summary

Bluebird Care Chesterfield is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support clients at home, delivering compassionate, person-centred care. You’ll work as part of a friendly team, following individual care plans and ensuring safety, dignity and independence for every client.

Shifts include early and late options (7am-3pm or 2pm-10pm) with full induction and ongoing training. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required to visit clients across Chesterfield.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence is required to visit clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
  • Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
  • Help with meal preparation and nutrition.
  • Support with medications and safe disposal.
  • Carry out light housekeeping tasks and maintain a tidy home.
  • Be a dependable, friendly face for clients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
  • Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
  • Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
  • Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
  • Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
  • Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
  • 7am - 3pm or 2pm - 10pm

Requirements
  • *A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle*
  • A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Ability to follow care plans
  • Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided
  • you must be available to work every other weekend.
