Job summary

Bluebird Care Gloucester is hiring a Care Assistant to join our expert team. You will provide high-quality care in customers' homes, supporting daily living and working with a friendly team.

We offer up to £15.82 per hour, flexible shift patterns, full induction and ongoing training, and a health benefits package. DBS checking and references are part of our recruitment process.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.
