Hayesfield Girls’ School is seeking a Food Technology Technician to support the DT department. You will set up kitchen spaces, prepare ingredients and equipment for practical lessons, assist students, and ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene.

The role requires confidence with catering equipment, good IT literacy, and physical ability to lift and setup. Experience in school catering is desirable, and COSHH knowledge is advantageous.

Formación

• Catering capability to set up and demonstrate practical catering equipment.
• Ability to support students during practical sessions and ensure safety.
• Good IT literacy for managing orders, stock, and supplier communications.
• Physical capability to lift, stretch, and set up kitchen spaces.

Responsabilidades

• Kitchen preparation: Set up ingredients, tools and equipment for lessons.
• Student support: Assist teachers during practical sessions and supervise safe equipment use.
• Resource & stock management: Purchase ingredients within budget and maintain stock records.
• Health & safety: Ensure COSHH and Food Hygiene compliance across spaces.
• Maintenance & events: Liaise with site team for equipment repairs and assist with school events.
