Westfield Academy seeks a Food Technician to provide high-quality practical and organisational support for the Food Preparation and Nutrition department. You will ensure ingredients, equipment and spaces are ready for lessons, uphold hygienic standards and assist students in developing practical food skills.

The role involves workload in preparation, safe practice, stock control and assisting with GCSE-related activities while working under the Head of Food Department.

Competenze

• Good standard of general education, including literacy and numeracy.
• Food hygiene qualification at Level 2.
• Willingness to complete relevant health and safety training.

Mansioni

• Prepare, weigh, portion, label and organise ingredients for practical lessons.
• Set out equipment and resources before lessons per staff guidance.
• Prepare demonstration areas and assist with exemplar dishes or visual resources.
• Inform staff promptly of shortages, substitutions or faults.
• Assist in collection, distribution and return of ingredients and equipment.
