Our client is seeking a reliable and technically minded School Maintenance Technician to support upkeep of a school in Norwich. You will perform routine checks, minor repairs and report issues to keep premises safe and functional.

The role suits someone with practical building maintenance experience and a proactive approach. You will assist with preparing rooms, supporting contractors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies in a busy school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, caretaking or facilities support is desirable.
• School maintenance experience advantageous.
• Familiar with general building repairs and basic DIY tasks.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Willingness to complete safeguarding checks and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections of school buildings and grounds.
• Complete minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks.
• Identify faults and report hazards promptly.
• Assist with equipment checks and preventative maintenance.
• Support contractors and ensure safe storage of tools.
• Prepare rooms for school activities and move furniture.
