Job summary

Brownhills Ormiston Academy is seeking a dedicated Site Assistant to join our Site Team on a shift rota. You will help maintain our buildings and grounds, ensure facilities are safe and secure, and support students, staff and visitors in a busy academy environment.

The role involves site and pool maintenance, health and safety checks, lone working on specific tasks, and a proactive approach to prioritising workloads.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience caretaking or similar site support/grounds work
• Be efficient, organised and reliable
• Be able to work on your own initiative and comfortable lone working on specific tasks
• Be able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
• Be a strong team player with a positive and professional attitude
• Have a good level of ICT competency
• Be able to swim, with confidence around water
• Have a willingness to learn pool maintenance if there is no previous experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and grounds to a high standard.
• Assist with pool maintenance and water safety.
• Conduct health and safety checks and ensure security.
• Provide general site support to students, staff and visitors.
