Job summary

Brownhills Ormiston Academy is recruiting a Site Assistant to join the dedicated Site Team. The role operates on a shift rota and focuses on maintaining the school environment to be safe, secure, and fully functional for students and staff.

You will support day-to-day building and grounds tasks, including pool upkeep where applicable. The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team, with ICT competence and a willingness to learn pool

Qualifications

• Have previous experience caretaking or similar site support/grounds work.
• Be efficient, organised and reliable.
• Be able to work on your own initiative and comfortable lone working on specific tasks.
• Be able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Be a strong team player with a positive and professional attitude.
• Have a good level of ICT competency.
• Be able to swim, with confidence around water.
• Have a willingness to learn pool maintenance if there is no previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Site maintenance and general site support.
• Pool maintenance duties as required.
• Health and safety checks and safety compliance.
• Security of the site and care of buildings and grounds.
