Job summary

The Facilities Operative role at ST BEDE'S SCHOOL TRUST SUSSEX sits in the Estates Department, split between the Senior School in Upper Dicker and occasional travel to the Prep School in Eastbourne. The role is full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:30, 52 weeks per year, with an unpaid 1-hour break.

You will be responsible for security and gatekeeping, together with carrying out caretaking and porterage tasks to ensure a first-class service for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Organised and proactive individual required.
• Experience in a school or similar environment is highly desirable.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security and gatekeeping for Facilities and Estates.
• Work as part of a flexible porterage team delivering caretaking and porterage services.
• Support day-to-day operations for the Senior School and assist the Prep School when required.
• Collaborate with Estates team to provide a first-class service for pupils and staff.
