Job summary

Wednesfield Academy seeks a reliable Facilities Operative to keep the school safe, clean and welcoming. You will work with the Senior Site Supervisor to maintain the premises, grounds and facilities to a high standard.

The role is 37 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, all year round, with shift pattern work. Starting salary is £24,753 and the start date is September 2026. Training and opportunities to support events and emergencies are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day repairs and decoration to maintain premises.
• Ensure site security and open/close at set times.
• Keep outdoor areas and facilities clean and presentable.
• Assist with grounds maintenance and vehicle checks where needed.
• Receive deliveries and set up equipment for events/exams.
• Perform window cleaning tasks within safety guidelines.
