Job summary

Teach Now Limited seeks a reliable School Site Manager for an Enfield primary school. You will oversee premises, security, and facilities, ensuring safe and well-maintained buildings and grounds. The role includes coordinating contractors and preparing facilities for events across a 35-hour week.

Experience in caretaking or facilities management is preferred, with strong health and safety knowledge and IT basics. This is a full-time, long-term temporary position starting 12 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Caretaking or facilities role experience.
• General repairs, maintenance and decorating skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety, COSHH and fire safety basics.
• Ability to supervise cleaning staff and contractors.
• Strong organisation and record-keeping abilities.
• Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Open/close school as key holder and manage security.
• Carry out routine maintenance and decorating tasks.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain compliance records.
• Monitor fire safety systems, emergency lighting and legionella controls.
• Maintain safe playgrounds, walkways, car parks and external areas.
• Supervise cleaning staff and contractor work.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and planned maintenance.
• Prepare facilities for events and community use.
• Respond to emergencies and adapt tasks as needed.
