Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Site Manager for a busy Gateshead school. You will lead the facilities team, hands-on with maintenance and security, ensuring the site is safe, compliant and well maintained.

From September, you will take day-to-day responsibility for premises, contractor management and emergency response, maintaining safeguarding standards and high operational performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in site or facilities management in an education setting.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a facilities/maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure safety, security, and compliance across the site.
• Manage contractors, security arrangements and service providers.
• Coordinate porterage, housekeeping and emergency response.
