Job summary

John Milton Academy Trust in Ipswich is seeking a proactive Maintenance and Projects Coordinator to ensure our school facilities are safe, well-maintained and welcoming for students and staff. You will lead multi-site maintenance and refurbishment projects, coordinate contractors and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, repairs and refurbishment.
• Excellent practical skills across a range of maintenance disciplines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Confident communication with staff, contractors and external agencies.
• Independent worker with initiative and pride in high standards.
• Strong commitment to health and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance works.
• Deliver refurbishment and improvement projects.
• Monitor contractors and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Support site security arrangements and emergency call-out rota.
• Assist with adverse weather preparations and site safety.
• Act as Fire Marshal and liaise with Fire & Rescue Service when required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and project records.
