Job summary

Thinking Facilities is seeking a Facilities Officer to assist the Site Manager with day-to-day tasks and capital projects. Your primary location will be based at Plympton Academy, with travel to sites within the hub as required.

The role involves site maintenance, premises management, ensuring security, safety and upkeep to reflect the Trust's standards for education. You will work as part of a busy site team with a focus on health and safety and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caretaker or similar.
• Oversee the maintenance programme and monitor any associated budgets.
• Practical skills in maintenance and cleaning.
• Health & Safety management.
• Experience of working within an Academy/School is desirable.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Full clean driving licence with access to own transport.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with day-to-day tasks and capital projects.
• Manage the premises and facilities to keep them secure and well-maintained.
• Oversee maintenance programmes and monitor related budgets.
• Support safety management and compliance across academy sites.
