Job summary

Thinking Facilities is seeking a Facilities Officer to assist the Site Manager with day-to-day tasks and support capital projects. Your primary location will be Plympton Academy, with travel to other hub sites as required.

The successful candidate will oversee maintenance, ensure premises are secure and well-maintained, and have strong practical maintenance and cleaning skills, plus a full driving licence and MS Office knowledge.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caretaker or similar.
• Manage the utilisation of the premises and associated facilities across The Thinking Schools Academy Trust.
• Oversee the maintenance programme and monitor any associated budgets.
• Practical skills in maintenance and cleaning.
• Experience of working within an Academy/School is desirable.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft office.
• Full clean driving licence with access to own transport.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager with day-to-day tasks and support capital projects and developments.
• Oversee day-to-day site maintenance and ensure premises are secure, safe and well-maintained.
• Travel to other academy sites within the hub as required.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
