Job summary

The Thinking Schools Academy Trust is seeking a Facilities Officer to assist the Site Manager with day-to-day tasks and support capital projects and developments. Your primary location will be based at Plympton Academy, with travel to other sites within the hub as required.

The successful candidate will be competent in all aspects of site maintenance, ensuring premises are secure, safe and well-maintained to reflect our school standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caretaker or similar.
• Oversee the maintenance programme and monitor any associated budgets.
• Practical maintenance and cleaning skills.
• Health & Safety management.
• Experience of working within an Academy/School is desirable.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft office.
• Full clean driving licence with access to own transport.
• Shift patterns are Monday to Friday; actual working pattern discussed at interview.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Manager with day-to-day tasks and capital projects.
• Manage premises and facilities across The Thinking Schools Academy Trust hub.
• Ensure premises are secure, safe and well-maintained reflecting education standards.
• Travel to sites within the hub as required.
