Job summary

Options Trent Acres School is seeking a proactive Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our school estate, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for pupils. You will manage a facilities team, coordinate contractors, and drive maintenance and compliance across the site.

We value leadership, problem-solving and a structured approach to deliver reliable services while supporting future development projects within the school community.

Qualifications

• Experience in Facilities, Estates or Site Management, ideally in education or healthcare.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge and compliance.
• Experience managing contractors, maintenance programmes and budgets.
• People leadership with ability to motivate teams.
• Organised, proactive with ability to handle competing priorities.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of the school’s facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, catering and site services.
• Develop and oversee maintenance programmes to keep site safe and compliant.
• Manage contractors and budgets, ensuring value for money.
• Carry out site inspections and address maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure Health & Safety, fire safety and statutory inspections compliance.
• Oversee equipment, vehicles and resources maintenance.
• Lead and develop the facilities team with a high-performance culture.
• Work with school leaders on future development projects.
