Job summary

Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN) is seeking a Site Maintenance Officer to join the Central Estates Team. You will be responsible for maintenance across North Somerset trust schools, performing planned and reactive works, addressing health and safety, and supporting small improvement projects.

Flexibility to travel between sites is required. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with 37 hours per week, with an emphasis on independent work and collaboration within a supportive

Qualifications

• Has experience in caretaking, property maintenance, facilities management or a similar environment.
• Possesses practical skills in building repairs, maintenance and general DIY activities.
• Can work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
• Builds positive relationships with colleagues, school staff, contractors and visitors.
• Has a good understanding of health and safety requirements and the importance of maintaining compliant and well-presented premises.
• Is organised, reliable and able to use initiative to resolve problems.
• Is able to provide their own transport and is willing to travel between our Trust schools that are all located within North Somerset (mileage expenses will be reimbursed).

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of planned and reactive maintenance activities across multiple sites.
• Contribute to health and safety and compliance requirements.
• Support small improvement projects within the estates team.
• Help ensure our schools remain safe, operational and fit for purpose.
