ELAN is seeking an enthusiastic and practical caretaker/maintenance professional to join the Central Estates Team. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across multiple school sites in North Somerset, with emphasis on safety, presentation and compliance.

You will work independently and as part of a supportive team, contributing to improvements and ensuring high-quality learning environments for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, property maintenance, facilities management or a similar environment.
• Practical skills in building repairs, maintenance and general DIY activities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements and compliance.

Responsabilités

• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance across school sites.
• Support health, safety and compliance requirements.
• Assist with small improvement projects and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure premises are well-presented, safe and fit for purpose.
• Travel between North Somerset Trust schools for duties (mileage reimbursed).
