Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is helping a well-established secondary school in Buckinghamshire recruit a School Caretaker in Aylesbury. This full-time, permanent role starts as soon as possible and focuses on maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented site.

The successful candidate will work with the site team and senior leadership to support daily school operations, ensuring premises are clean and well maintained and supporting a positive environment for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as caretaker, site assistant, or maintenance is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and health & safety.
• Hands-on, practical approach with good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure, and well-presented school site.
• Support day-to-day operations with the site team and SLT.
• Respond to maintenance issues and coordinate with contractors as needed.
• Ensure premises are clean and well maintained.
