Job summary

Charters School is seeking a reliable caretaker to join the site team at Ascot. The role covers opening/closing, general caretaking, basic maintenance, room setup for lessons and events, and keeping the school safe and welcoming.

This full-time position is 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with a 28 days holiday entitlement; shift pattern from 6 am to 6 pm with occasional weekends; salary up to £28,409 and access to the local government pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, maintenance, facilities or a similar role.
• Good practical and DIY skills.
• Commitment to high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the school and ensure the site is secure.
• Carry out general caretaking, portering and basic maintenance.
• Set up rooms, furniture and equipment for lessons and events.
• Support school events and lettings.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming school environment.
