Job summary

Charters School is seeking a reliable, practical and proactive Caretaker to join our friendly site team. Working alongside the Facilities Manager, you will help keep classrooms, corridors and grounds safe, secure and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.

This hands-on role involves shifts including early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends, with a full-time 37-hour schedule and a salary up to £28,409 per year.

Qualifications

• Reliable and practical with good initiative.
• Flexible with shift patterns including early mornings, evenings and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the school and ensure the site is secure.
• Carry out general caretaking, portering and basic maintenance.
• Use your practical and DIY skills to keep the site in good working order.
• Set up rooms, furniture and equipment for lessons and events.
• Support school events and lettings.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming school environment.
