Job summary

You will work with pupils, staff and visitors, performing tasks such as vacuuming, class cleaning, opening/closing buildings, responding to alarms, and assisting with minor repairs as required.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
• Cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas
• Safe use and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Maintaining cleaning records where required
• Opening and securing school buildings
• Responding appropriately to alarms and site issues
• Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Supporting furniture moves and general portering duties
• Liaising with school staff, contractors and building users to ensure effective service delivery
