Job summary

Complete Classroom Services is seeking a motivated School Caretaker to support the daily operation of a busy school in Bromley. This role offers a varied workload and a chance to help create a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for students, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will perform site maintenance, security checks, health and safety tasks, and assist with room moves, basic repairs, and upkeep of external areas.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caretaker or facilities support.
• Good building maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Reliable and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily site walks to identify maintenance issues.
• Undertake minor repairs and decorating tasks.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates and security features.
• Monitor heating, ventilation and water systems.
• Support contractor visits and safety during works.
• Maintain external areas and school equipment.
• Assist with room moves and furniture reconfigurations.
• Perform routine safety checks and emergency lighting checks.
