• Experience of working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short-term absence of teachers, keeping students engaged.
• Deliver pre-planned learning activities and assist students with set work.
• Maintain positive behaviour and high expectations per school policies.
• Take registers and record attendance, rewards and incidents.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student engagement and progress.
• Support students learning and encourage independent learning.
• Assist with literacy, numeracy and targeted intervention programmes.
• Undertake form tutor responsibilities and pastoral support.
• Support attendance, wellbeing and personal development initiatives.
• Work with Learning Support Assistants and support staff.
• Assist with examinations, visits and wider school activities.
• Carry out administrative duties to support teaching and learning.
