Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a Full-time Cover Coordinator for a busy London secondary school in Barnet. The role concentrates on daily cover management for absent teachers, including deployment of cover supervisors, supply and agency staff, and duty rotas for breaks and lunches to ensure pupil safety.

You will handle admin duties, data extraction from school databases, and communications to meet deadlines. Experience with SIMS and Nova T is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating daily cover for a busy school.
• Ability to recruit and deploy cover supervisors, supply staff and agency staff.
• Strong admin skills, with accurate data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Deploy cover supervisors to ensure lessons are staffed.
• Lead on duty rotas for breaks and lunch to safeguard pupils and staff.
• Maintain SCR sessional tab and report absences in the MIS/HR systems.
• Organise cover using SIMS/NOVA T, authorize agency invoices and timesheets.
• Maintain a teaching supply list and source new staff as needed.
• Monitor absence and cover diaries, plan ahead for staffing needs.
• Manage the cover rota to distribute duties fairly among staff.
• Record absence data in the School MIS and communicate with SLT.
• Coordinate internal room bookings and staff accounts.
