Job description

Position: Cover Supervisor (Secondary) Contract Type: Full-time, long-term temporary Start Date: 8 September 2026 Location: Barnet, London, UK Salary: £95-£130 per day Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and the level of responsibility required. The higher end of the range is intended for experienced Cover Supervisors, qualified instructors or candidates with substantial secondary classroom experience.

About the Cover Supervisor Role

Teach Now is working with a well-organised secondary school in Barnet to recruit a confident Cover Supervisor for the new academic year. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during short-term teacher absence, deliver pre-prepared work and ensure students remain focused and productive. You will not usually be expected to plan lessons, but you must be comfortable managing classes across KS3 and KS4. This position is ideal for an experienced Cover Supervisor, graduate, sports coach, youth worker or aspiring teacher with strong classroom-management skills.
