This role focuses on arranging internal cover, coordinating the timetable, and stepping in to cover lessons when needed, using teachers' pre-set work. Training and ongoing support will be provided by an experienced line manager.

Cover Manager - Secondary School near Potters Bar

Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor or School Administrator ready for your next step, a recent graduate exploring a route into education, or simply looking to move into a school-based career, this could be the opportunity for you.

Tradewind Secondary is partnering with a well-regarded, close-knit secondary school to appoint a Cover Manager to their administration team, starting in September.

This is a genuinely important role at the heart of the school's daily operations. You'll be responsible for arranging internal cover, coordinating the day's timetable, and stepping in to cover lessons yourself when needed, using teachers' pre-set work. The school offers some flexibility around hours, though you should expect to be available from around 6:30-7am to organise cover, with an on-site start by 7:30am.

We're looking for someone organised, personable, and comfortable working closely with staff across the school - from teachers to senior leaders.

Based near Potters Bar, this is a friendly, inclusive school where staff feel valued and well-supported by both leadership and pupils. Day-to-day, the role includes a fair amount of data entry alongside team coordination, and you'll be mentored by a highly experienced line manager who provides thorough training and ongoing support.
