Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a School Cleaner to join our cleaning service. You will undertake cleaning across educational premises, following established procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a clean, safe environment for students and staff.

The role requires the ability to work as part of a team, communicate in English, follow instructions, and perform duties to high cleaning standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning within educational environments is preferred.
• Ability to use a range of cleaning methods and equipment.
• COSHH awareness and health and safety knowledge are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors using appropriate equipment.
• Clean toilets, showers and fixtures; maintain cleanliness of ledges and walls.
• Empty bins and manage litter removal to designated points.
• Adhere to safety regulations and wear protective clothing as required.
• Cover colleagues on sick leave as needed.
