Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a part-time Cleaner for High Mill Primary School and Kirkton Primary School in Carluke. The role is 15 hours per week during term time, with a pattern of Monday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm.

The hourly rate is £13.80. The posts are temporary until 25 December 2026 and involve maintaining floor and surface cleanliness, reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor, and ensuring building security as required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning of floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas and walls according to pre-determined schedule.
• Report to the Cleaning Supervisor on performance and issues.
• Use equipment such as a buffing machine to clean floors in line with COSHH regulations.
