The role requires a DBS check on the update service and a valid driving licence due to routes beyond public transport. Key tasks include cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, and offices, replenishing supplies, and ensuring safe handling of cleaning products in line with COSHH.

Qualifications

• Must have enhanced DBS on update service.
• Must drive as not on any public transport routes.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and other areas of the school as required.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Empty and clean bins, ensuring all waste is disposed of safely and appropriately.
• Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet rolls, and other consumable supplies as needed.
• Clean windows, glass panels, and mirrors where accessible and safe to do so.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is kept in good working order and report any faults, damage, or shortages.
• Follow COSHH health and safety procedures for handling cleaning products.
• Secure areas after cleaning to maintain site security.
• Report damage, hazards, or maintenance to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with occasional deep cleaning during holidays or as required.
• Support the wider facilities team in maintaining high cleanliness standards across site.
• Coordinate handover notes to the evening cleaning team where necessary.
• Liaise with maintenance to monitor cleaning stock levels.
