Job summary

RG Setsquare's client, a leading maintenance provider, is seeking reliable cleaners to join their team across East Lothian and surrounding areas. You will perform cleaning duties in schools, including classrooms, corridors, and communal spaces, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Responsibilities include using cleaning equipment safely, replenishing supplies, and reporting hazards. Right to work in the UK is required; candidates with previous cleaning experience are welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Ability to follow instructions and health & safety procedures.
• Good communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting.
• Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, communal areas and other designated spaces.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
• Clean and sanitise surfaces, fixtures and high-touch areas.
• Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies when required.
• Follow health and safety, COSHH and site cleaning procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues, hazards or damaged equipment to the supervisor.
• Use cleaning equipment and products safely and correctly.
• Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned to the required standard.
• Work independently and as part of a cleaning team when required.
