Job summary

Academics is recruiting a School Cleaner in Worksop to support local schools. This temporary, ongoing role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of school premises, with immediate start and PAYE payment including holiday pay.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas, following safety guidelines and COSHH. A DBS check and safeguarding training are required or expected to be completed.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months cleaning experience, ideally in schools.
COSH training to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Ability to provide references for last 24 months of employment.
Safeguarding training up-to-date or willingness to complete.

Responsibilities

Carry out general cleaning throughout the school including classrooms and corridors.
Sweep, vacuum, mop and dust floors and surfaces as required.
Dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies when necessary.
Follow health and safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.
Report maintenance issues, hazards or damage promptly.
Use cleaning equipment and products safely
Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the school
