Easterside Academy in Middlesbrough is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our school team. You will maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff and visitors, including classrooms, corridors, toilets and offices.

The role operates on Term Time Only +5 days, with hours 3:15pm-5:45pm (Mon-Thu) and 3:15pm-5:15pm (Fri); training will be provided, and safeguarding of children is essential.

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our school team. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Duties will include cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and shared areas, as well as ensuring cleaning supplies are used and stored safely. The successful candidate will play an important part in supporting the smooth running of the school and creating a welcoming environment for learning.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Has good attention to detail
• Is able to follow health and safety procedures
• Can work effectively as part of a team
• Has previous cleaning experience (desirable but not essential, as training will be provided)
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is essential.
