Job summary

Nirvana Managed Services is seeking a reliable cleaner to maintain a school facility under our management. This term-time role offers stable hours with shifts from 3 PM to 7 PM, Monday to Friday, three shifts per week. Benefits include pension contributions and paid holiday entitlement, with DBS check desirable.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and committed to high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, restrooms, and common areas.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services is preferred.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to thorough, high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during term time.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise assigned areas, including restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common spaces.
• Dust surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and equipment thoroughly and regularly.
• Vacuum and mop floors using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, ensuring proper disposal and segregation.
• Restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other essential items as needed.
• Identify and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures, health regulations, and cleaning protocols.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and courteous attitude at all times.
