Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd in Colne is seeking a reliable School Cleaner to join a welcoming school from 3:30pm to 5:45pm, Monday to Friday, starting ASAP. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils and staff.

Duties include cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and washrooms, vacuuming, mopping, dusting and waste disposal, with a strong emphasis on health and safety.

Qualifications

School Cleaner - Colne

Location: Colne
Hours: 3:30pm until 5:45pm - Monday - Friday

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming school in Colne for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the school.

Duties will include:

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
• Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and dusting
• Cleaning washrooms and replenishing supplies
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored correctly

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous cleaning experience (school experience is desirable but not essential)
• Be reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
• Have a good understanding of health and safety practices
• Hold a COSHH qualification or be willing to complete COSHH training before starting the role
• Be committed to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff
