Veritas Education Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming school in Colne for a reliable School Cleaner to join their team. The role is part-time, from 3:30pm to 5:45pm, Monday to Friday, with start date ASAP.

The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for pupils, staff and visitors, and will follow health and safety procedures at all times. COSHH training is encouraged or a willingness to complete it.

Qualifications

• Must have cleaning experience; school experience desirable but not essential.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas.
• Vacuum, mop, sweep, and dust surfaces.
• Clean washrooms and replenish supplies.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and chemicals are stored safely.

Location: Colne

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming school in Colne for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the school.

Duties will include:

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
• Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and dusting
• Cleaning washrooms and replenishing supplies
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored correctly

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous cleaning experience (school experience is desirable but not essential)
• Be reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
• Have a good understanding of health and safety practices
• Hold a COSHH qualification or be willing to complete COSHH training before starting the role
• Be committed to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff
