Job summary

Roecroft Lower School in Hitchin is seeking a part-time cleaning assistant to maintain a clean, safe environment for pupils and staff after school hours. You will carry out cleaning duties as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor or Site Manager and work to high standards to support a welcoming learning atmosphere.

The role emphasises safeguarding and requires Enhanced DBS clearance; right to work in the UK must be verified, with references and identity checked as part of the application process.

Main duties include providing a clean and safe environment in which both adults and children can work and learn in and to carry out the allocated cleaning duties within the designated times/areas as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor or Site Manager.
The hours are 3:45-5:45pm. There is also potential for additional hours and adhoc overtime. Roecroft Lower School is committed to the safeguarding of children and we adopt recruitment procedures that promote the safety and well-being of children. All posts are subject to Enhanced DBS clearance.
