Compass Group UK is seeking a Chef Manager to run the daily catering operation, lead a small team, and deliver fresh meals to high standards. The role requires strong chef skills, two years of management in catering, and a strong customer-focused approach.

The position is term-time only (44.6 weeks per year) with a salary of £36,000 per annum, pro-rated to term-time. Location is in the Dartford area within the UK, offering benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Driving continuous improvement, innovation and customer satisfaction across the catering service.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Strong chef skills with a genuine passion for fresh food.
• Previous experience managing a successful catering operation in a similar environment.
• At least two years' catering management experience.
• Experience leading, motivating and developing a small team.
• Excellent financial and commercial awareness.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A customer-focused approach with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 minimum).
• Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and catering systems.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
