Job summary

Compass Group UK&I in Tadworth is recruiting a hands-on chef/manager to oversee a dedicated school kitchen. You’ll organise and supervise the unit to our standards, ensuring high-quality service and efficient use of resources.

You will lead a small team, manage stock and food preparation, and hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate with at least 2 years catering experience. This is a full-time role at a prestigious independent school.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge and experience of working with food.
• Proven experience in managing successful teams in a similar environment.
• Minimum 2 years catering experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate.

Responsibilities

• Organise and supervise the unit in accordance with Compass Group UK & Ireland standards, contract specification and regulations.
• Responsible for overall efficient and effective management of the unit, providing a quality service.
• Prepare, cook and serve food to agreed standards and specification.
• Ensure efficient and economic use of resources including stock, team members and assets.
