Job summary

Brookways School is seeking a dedicated School Chef to prepare nutritious meals for pupils, following menus and dietary requirements. The role involves cooking, maintaining hygiene, and working with a team to serve meals on time.

The position is term-time only (39 weeks plus 6 weeks holiday) with 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 2:30pm. The school offers ongoing training and a supportive environment, with a focus on healthy, appealing school meals.

Qualifications

  • Experience in catering, preferably in a school or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Friendly, approachable and passionate about quality food.
  • Relevant food hygiene qualifications required.
