Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, seeks an experienced Catering Supervisor in the Guildford area to oversee catering operations for education sites on a 25-hour week contract.

You will lead kitchen and service teams, ensure Health & Safety standards, and deliver exceptional food and customer service while coordinating with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets. Drive continuous improvement in service quality and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of catering experience.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and service.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
• Liaise between customers and our culinary and service teams to exceed expectations.
• Train and support teams, leading from the front to enable excellence.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams.
